John Cairns - All Through the Ages CD

John Cairns is one of the foremost pipers of our generation. In addition to achieving the rare feat of winning both Gold Medals for solo piping in the same year, he is world-renowned as a teacher and composer of pipe music. He is a key member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders Pipe Band.

This unique CD includes nine innovative tracks written by John, each telling a musical story, including the Battle of Culloden, Scottish settlers coming to the new world, building Canada’s National Railway, A Love Song for Deborah Anne, and more.

This is not just a piping CD, it is a collection of musical arrangements integrating the bagpipe (as the main voice) with other orchestral instruments.
