MacLellan Studio Pipe

Made by Roddy MacLellan. The pipes are made from Polypenco (Delrin) for durability. Mouth-blown, with the same fingering as standard Great Highland Bagpipe. The chanter, available in Key of Bb or Key of A, is robustly toned and blends well with the drones. A Canmore synthetic zipper bag and tube water trap are standard.

The Studio Pipe has two drones (bass and tenor) in a common stock. The drone reeds are similar to standard synthetic drone reeds. Unlike many smallpipes, these drones can be easily turned off for tuning by a simple tap on the drone top opening.>/p>

The instrument is very low maintenance, as all joints and tuning pins are equipped with O-Rings instead of hemp. Drone reeds are threaded into the reed seats for security and easy adjustments.
