Moose Pipe Bag

Designed and manufactured by Ian Lyons (Australia), this bag is similar in shape and material to the Ross bag, with some changes for increased ergonomics. Low maintenance, easy installation, perfectly airtight. A TI-Zip zipper is included on the side for easy access to the internals of the bag, and for allowing the bag to dry out between sessions.

The stock collars are made of a new translucent plastic, and will fit almost any stock without clamping or taping. The inside of the collars are combed, which will lock into the combing on the bagpipe for a secure fit. The angle of the collars has been carefully designed for maximum comfort of the drones on the shoulder and of the blowpipe positioning. The zipper is angled so as not to interfere with the comfort of the arm on the bag.

The chanter stock can be secured via conventional tie-in with cord, with a hose clamp, or with rubber tape. Materials for all three methods are supplied with the bag.

No moisture control system is included with the bag. However, any of the systems on the market will work fine with the Moose bag. A Moose moisture control system is currently in the development stage.
